Battr Remote Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Battr is a smart TV remote control app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information Battr Uses

Battr can store saved TV name, TV brand, TV IP address, TV port, pairing token or client key, TV MAC address when available, and local remote-control action history on your device.

This information is stored on your phone so Battr can reconnect to your TVs and show your remote-control history.

Information We Collect

Battr does not require an account. Battr does not collect, sell, or share your personal information with Battr servers. Battr does not use advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.

Local Network Communication

Battr communicates directly with TVs on your local network. Remote-control commands, pairing requests, and discovery messages may be sent from your phone to your TV. These communications are used only to discover, pair with, and control your TV.

Permissions

Battr may request internet and network state permissions to communicate with TVs, WiFi/network permissions to discover TVs, and nearby WiFi devices or location-related permission because Android requires these permissions for local network discovery. Battr does not use these permissions to track your location.

Data Retention and Deletion

Saved TV details and action logs remain on your device until you remove them in the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling Battr removes locally stored app data according to Android system behavior.

Children

Battr is a general utility app and is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy if Battr changes how it handles data. Updates will be reflected by changing the "Last updated" date above.
