The average household owns 4 remote controls. They get lost down sofa cushions, run out of batteries at the worst moment, and disappear entirely when you actually need them. Universal remotes require configuration nightmares. TV brand apps are slow, bloated, and demand accounts.

How It Works

Battr discovers your TV on the local network, pairs with it using the TV's own pairing protocol, then sends remote-control commands directly — phone to TV — with no cloud relay, no server in the middle, and no latency from routing traffic over the internet.

Discover
Battr scans your local network for compatible smart TVs. LG, Samsung, Hisense and other compatible TVs announce themselves on the network — Battr finds them automatically. No manual IP entry required.

Pair
On first connection, Battr completes the TV's native pairing flow. Your TV may display a PIN or confirmation prompt — approve it once, and Battr stores the pairing token locally so you never need to pair again.

Control
Use the on-screen remote to send directional controls, volume, channel, power, and more. Commands go from your phone directly to your TV over the local network — no cloud routing, sub-second response.

Multi-TV
Save multiple TVs — living room, bedroom, office. Switch between them in one tap. Battr remembers the name, brand, IP, and pairing credentials for each TV locally on your device.

Battr stores only what it needs to reconnect to your TVs and show your control history. Everything lives on your phone. Nothing is sent to any server — no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting.

Local network address
Stored for reconnection. This is a local network IP only — not accessible outside your home network.

The port used by the TV's control protocol. Required for connection.
Pairing Token
Client key or token
Generated during the pairing flow. Stored so you don't need to pair again on every session.
MAC Address
When available
TV hardware identifier. Used for Wake-on-LAN and device identification when the IP may change.
Action History
Local remote-control log
What buttons were pressed and when. Stored locally for history review. Deleted when you remove it or uninstall the app.
